Vidya Pravesh

Early Education research shows that major development of a student’s brain happens in the first five years and hence our curriculum is designed to expose and stimulate the student in multiple cognitive areas.

Our carefully designed competency and skill-based programme, in accordance with Nipun Bharat provides a wide range of experiences and materials to foster and enhance physical, motor, social, emotional, aesthetic and intellectual development, following a play based pedagogy. Our small class size allows ample time and opportunity for one-on-one contact with the teacher for personalized attention and customized learning.

The focus of the curriculum is on development of multiple skills which is achieved through age-appropriate monthly themes (projects).

  • Physical Development includes fine motor and gross motor development.
  • Creative/Aesthetic Development includes Visual Arts and Performing Arts (Music, Drama & Role play)
  • Cognitive And Perceptual Development. Focuses on developing Language, Literacy skills and Numeracy Skills
  • Social And Emotional Development: is achieved through group play, sharing and interpersonal communication

Teaching Methodology: Project Based/ Play Based

We strongly believe in enabling the thinking process, concept development and enquiry-based learning in children. To achieve this objective, we use the Project Based / Play Based Teaching Method which is multidisciplinary and integrated in nature.

A positive, secure and happy atmosphere in school coupled with the provision of a rich variety of experiences such as drama, storytelling, creative and cognitive activities, science experiment, fireless cooking, water play, field trips promote development in a meaningful and well-rounded manner.

Baal Vatika

This category of academia according to Nipun Bharat guidelines aims to establish a strong foundation for future learning in each child by blending the traditional 3Rs (Reading, Writing and Arithmetic) skills with following 4Cs skills required in the 21st century.

  • Critical thinking and problem solving
  • Communication
  • Creativity
  • Collaboration

In addition, there is a focus on Character building based on the Indian value system and laying the seeds for a Global Citizenship mindset.

Teaching Methodology: Activity Based Experiential Learning

dtS believes that the school curriculum should take care of holistic development (physical, intellectual, logical and spiritual) of its students. At the Baal Vatika level, it offers a broad multidisciplinary and balanced curriculum to enable learning through a structured schooling program with “ Jadu Pitara”-(a play based learning resource for students ) present in each classroom.

The focus is on:

Developing strong fundamentals in academics,

Good physical development and team spirit through sports

Broad intellectual development through performing arts

Inculcating good moral values rooted in Indian culture along with a commitment to Community Service

The teaching approach is centered around activity-based experiential learning to stimulate the development of multiple intelligences, inherent in each child.

We do this by adopting the modern methods of teaching like use of LCD projectors, Audio-Visual, Story Method, Exploration and Research, Group Discussions (Debate) to make learning effective and an enjoyable experience.
