The down town School, celebrated Bishnu Rabha Divas with the great spirit and reliving the memories of beloved Kalaguru. The celebration began with holy prayer and a pledge. A warm welcome address was delivered by our dedicated educators, setting the momentum of the day long event. The special attraction of the day was a heartfelt speech dedicated to Bishnu Prasad Rabha in our native language Assamese, delivered by a talented student of Grade 8. This was followed by a delightful dance performance by our energetic students of Grade 1 and Grade 3 & 4 students on the Assamese song composed by Kalaguru himself (Bilote halise dhuniya Padumi) and (bisware chande chande) respectively that captivated the audience. The celebration culminate with a vote of thanks expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to making the day a success followed by singing the national anthem. It was a fun filled day of celebration with joy, learning, and a deep sense of community. We at the down town School look forward for such days where students not only enjoy the purpose but also gets to learn about great legend’s like Bishnu Prasad Rabha.
